The Ash Lad: In the Hall of the Mountain King

“Something big is coming”

In a Norwegian farming family too poor to hold on to its land, Espen Ash Lad (Vebjørn Enger) is the son nobody expects much from. When the princess is taken by a troll known as the Mountain King, he sets out with his brothers Per (Mads Sjøgård Pettersen) and Pål (Elias Holmen Sørensen), chasing the reward that could save the farm. Mikkel Brænne Sandemose sends the three toward the troll's hall, and Espen goes ahead of his brothers, the farm still on his mind.
