The Assassination
François Darien (Jean-Louis Trintignant), a left-wing police informant, is ordered to bring his old friend Sadiel (Gian Maria Volonté) to Paris on the promise of a television special about the Third World. Sadiel is an exiled North African leader, and Colonel Kassar (Michel Piccoli) wants him badly. Yves Boisset sets the trap in motion, and once Darien sees how he has been used, his friend's life depends on whether he can undo it.
