“13 steps to TERROR!”

Louise Elmore (Carrie Snodgress), a librarian who was stood up at the altar, spends her days and nights caring for her wheelchair-bound, tyrannical father Wendell (Ray Milland). She pictures his death in private and finds real joy only with her pet monkey. Gary Graver and George Edwards keep the camera close to the house, so the rooms feel as small as her life has become.
