The Audition

Anna Bronsky (Nina Hoss) teaches violin and wants one student to carry what she could not. She finds him in Alexander (Ilja Monti), a boy whose talent she hears at once, and she gives him more and more of her days. Ina Weisse frames the lessons in tight, still rooms and holds on Hoss's face, so the pressure builds in small movements.
