The Autopsy of Jane Doe

“Every body has a secret.”

Tommy Tilden (Brian Cox) and his son Austin (Emile Hirsch) run a family morgue, and one night the sheriff brings them a body found half-buried at a crime scene, a woman no one can name. André Øvredal keeps the two of them in the basement with her, working through the examination as each finding fails to explain how she died. The film is about what a father and son can bear to find out about a stranger, and about each other.
