Edgar Anscombe (Christopher Reeve) flies the mail in the 1920s, a pilot more at home in the cockpit than anywhere on the ground. His passenger is Tillie Hansen (Rosanna Arquette), a rich man's daughter, and the two of them come down hard on a mountain full of hungry wolves. George T. Miller keeps them out there together, and Edgar has to learn what he can stand to share.
