The Aviator
“Some men dream the future. He built it.”
Hollywood in 1927 is a town of new money and louder ambitions, and Howard Hughes (Leonardo DiCaprio) arrives with an inheritance and a plan to make the most expensive film ever shot. He goes on to build an aviation empire and spar with Pan Am's Juan Trippe (Alec Baldwin), while a compulsion he can't control starts to close in. Scorsese gives the period a saturated, almost hand-tinted color.
