The Aviator's Wife

“One can’t think of nothing.”

In Paris in 1981, François (Philippe Marlaud), a student working nights, learns that his girlfriend Anne (Marie Rivière) has been seeing an airline pilot. He sets out to follow them, and a teenager named Lucie (Anne-Laure Meury) gets pulled into his watching. Éric Rohmer treats it as a story about how little people can know of each other's lives, however closely they trail them.
