The Awakening

“They thought they had buried her forever!”

Matthew Corbeck (Charlton Heston) is a British archaeologist who has spent years hunting for the hidden tomb of an Egyptian queen. When he breaks into it, the spirit inside passes to his daughter Margaret (Stephanie Zimbalist). Mike Newell, in his first feature, sets this inside a family and a marriage, with the danger arriving through a child, and fear of what you cannot protect your own household from.
