“Some people would die to get (him) this job.”

Bruno Davert (José Garcia) has been out of work since the paper company let him go, and two years of applications have gone nowhere. His wife Marlène (Karin Viard) works two jobs while their savings and their place in the middle class slip away. Costa-Gavras follows the plan Bruno settles on, to eliminate every qualified rival, and every month without a paycheck puts the house, the marriage and his family's footing a little closer to gone.
