The Babadook

“If it's in a word, or it's in a look, you can't get rid of...”

In a small Australian house, Amelia Vanek (Essie Davis) has been a widow for years, raising her restless young son Samuel (Noah Wiseman) with little sleep and less help. Then a children's book none of them remember buying turns up on his shelf, and Jennifer Kent builds the dread out of closed doors and creaking floors. The only two people in the house are shut in together, and each is the other's only protection.
