The Barkleys of Broadway

“Joyously together again!”

Dinah Barkley (Ginger Rogers) wants a part that isn't another light musical number, and she is tired of being the half of a famous stage couple that Josh (Fred Astaire) directs. So she takes a serious drama, under another man's direction. Charles Walters, working in Technicolor, brings Astaire and Rogers back together after ten years apart, and the film is about what it takes for two people to share a stage and also share a life.
