The Battle of the Rails

The railway workers of occupied France go to their jobs each morning and quietly wreck the trains they are paid to keep running, one sabotage after another and then the large derailments. Camargue (Tony Laurent), a stationmaster, and his deputy Athos run their sector of the network while the Germans watch the tracks. René Clément filmed it with real railwaymen in the cast, and Camargue knows each shift could cost him his life.
