“James Thurber's Delightful Sex-War Satire.”

At a family-run tweed weaving firm in Edinburgh, the old ledgers and old habits have kept things running for generations. Then Angela Barrows (Constance Cummings), sent over by her American employer, arrives to study the company, and Robert Macpherson (Robert Morley) welcomes her help in modernizing it. Charles Crichton sets the quiet accountant Mr. Martin (Peter Sellers) against her, with his job and the whole firm's way of working at stake.
