The Beast of War

“War brings out the beast in every man.”

Daskal (George Dzundza) commands a Soviet T-55 tank in the mountains of Afghanistan, a tyrant to his own crew. When the tank gets cut off and lost, the crew finds itself hunted by a band of Mujahadeen guerrillas, with Konstantin Koverchenko (Jason Patric) watching his commander more closely than the enemy. Kevin Reynolds keeps the camera inside the cramped steel hull, where the men sit packed together and the mountains wait outside.
