The Beautician and the Beast

“Once upon a time...”

A mix-up sends Joy Miller (Fran Drescher), a New York beautician, across the ocean to tutor the four children of a dictator, hired as a science teacher she never claimed to be. Ken Kwapis puts her in front of President Boris Pochenko (Timothy Dalton), a stern ruler of a small Eastern European country. Joy arrives in her loud New York voice, her big hair and her bright clothes, standing out in the grim halls like a stage light.
