The Beaver

“He's here to save Walter's life.”

Walter Black (Mel Gibson) runs a toy company and wants only to climb out of a depression that has kept him in bed and cost him his family's patience. Then he starts speaking through a beaver hand puppet, and the puppet says what he can't. His son Porter (Anton Yelchin) wants his parents divorced. Jodie Foster directs, and she also plays Walter's wife, Meredith, so she is on both sides of the camera.
