The Bedford Incident

““Hunt her down … until she comes up!””

Captain Eric Finlander (Richard Widmark) runs the American destroyer USS Bedford like a man who has not stopped fighting the Cold War, and he has let a reporter, Ben Munceford (Sidney Poitier), come aboard to watch. When the Bedford finds a Soviet submarine, Finlander begins a pursuit he will not let go of. James B. Harris sets the hunt inside a single ship, where a commander's pride is paid for by the men under him.
