The Beekeeper

Why does Spyros (Marcello Mastroianni), a stone-faced beekeeper, leave everything behind once his daughter's wedding is over? He loads his hives and drives from the north of Greece to the south, a trip he makes every year, until a young drifter (Nadia Mourouzi) joins him along the way. Theo Angelopoulos follows them, and the image that stays is the beekeeper alone with his hives on the road.
