The Bélier Family

Paula Bélier (Louane), sixteen, is the only hearing person in her family, so she translates for her deaf parents at the farm, the market and every appointment. Then her music teacher, Fabien Thomasson (Éric Elmosnino), hears her sing and pushes her toward a Radio France contest, one that would take her away from them. Éric Lartigau gives us Paula at the kitchen table, her mother Gigi (Karin Viard) and father Rodolphe (François Damiens) signing across from her.
