The Belles of St Trinian's

(1954)Directed by Frank Launder91 minComedy
“Would you send your daughter to St. Trinian's?”

Millicent Fritton (Alastair Sim) runs St Trinian's, a girls' school where the pupils care more for men and mischief than for homework or hockey. Frank Launder adapts Ronald Searle's cartoon schoolgirls, and Joyce Grenfell plays Ruby Gates, the policewoman sent in to keep watch. When Princess Fatima of Makyad enrolls and the expelled Arabella Fritton returns with a racehorse to kidnap, the headmistress's money troubles and the school's very survival are on the line.
