The Bet

“They said they'd do it.Unfortunately, they did!”

Didier (Didier Bourdon) and Bernard (Bernard Campan) are brothers-in-law who have never quite gotten along, and both are heavy smokers. They shake on a bet that each can go two weeks without a cigarette, a deal that turns out to be harder to keep than either expected. Bourdon and Campan, who also wrote the film as part of the comic trio Les Inconnus, direct it as a story about how stubbornly a habit holds on.
