The Beverly Hillbillies

“Upscale neighborhood, down-home heart.”

A gusher of oil appears on the dirt-poor land of Jed Clampett (Jim Varney), and nobody in the hills can say why it came to him. At cousin Pearl's insistence, he loads his family into a truck and moves them to Beverly Hills, where Penelope Spheeris sets Granny (Cloris Leachman) and Jethro (Diedrich Bader) loose among the mansions. Jed stays mild and quiet through all of it, a hill-dweller who just wants his family looked after.
