The BFG

Sophie (Amanda Root) is an orphan who watches a giant at work in the street one early morning, and the giant lifts her out of her bed and carries her off. He is the BFG (David Jason), and his work turns out to be gathering pleasant dreams and delivering them to sleeping children. Brian Cosgrove's film adapts Roald Dahl's novel, and the danger is the larger, meaner giants, who plan to eat the children of the world.
