The Big Bird Cage

“Women so hot with desire they melt the chains that enslave them!”

In 1972, on a jungle sugar plantation, women prisoners are worked in the mud and made to feed cane into a mechanical maw. Director Jack Hill sets Blossom (Pam Grier) and Terry (Anitra Ford) among the workers, where a rebellion against the labor starts to form. Across the filth of the prison, Django (Sid Haig) watches the rows of women bent over the cane, the machine grinding on beside them.
