The Big Empty

“Cowboys. Aliens. Blue suitcases and bowling balls. Strange things are happening out in the middle of nowhere.”

John Person (Jon Favreau), a struggling actor with $27,000 in credit card debt, drives a blue suitcase from Los Angeles to the small town of Baker, California. A mysterious cowboy is supposed to collect it, but he never shows, and John is left holding a package shaped like a head. Steve Anderson parks him in Baker, where Ruthie (Rachael Leigh Cook) is kind to him and her boyfriend, Randy, keeps promising to kill him.
