“The biggest kick of the year!”

Anna Mongomery (Olivia D'Abo), a British exchange teacher in a worn-down Texas town, hands her class a soccer ball and finds they can barely kick it. Holly Goldberg Sloan has her recruit Tom Palmer (Steve Guttenberg), the local sheriff's deputy and a former football hero, to help run the practices. The two of them put in long hours with the kids, and working side by side, they start to lean on each other too.
