Stan (Stan Laurel) and Ollie (Oliver Hardy) want steady work, and during the war they land a job guarding an eccentric inventor, Alva P. Hartley (Arthur Space), and the powerful new bomb he has built. Malcolm St. Clair sets the two loose around a device that matters a great deal to the war effort. If Hartley's invention gets away from them, it ends up in the wrong hands.
