The Birds

Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren) is a San Francisco socialite who follows a man she barely knows up the coast to Bodega Bay, a small town in California. Alfred Hitchcock sets her against the watchful Lydia Brenner (Jessica Tandy), mother of Mitch (Rod Taylor), and a schoolteacher, Annie Hayworth (Suzanne Pleshette), who has her own history with him. Before the birds turn on the town, the film is about three women circling one man.
