The Black Phone

“Never talk to strangers.”

Finney (Mason Thames), a shy, clever 13-year-old, only wants to get through another school year without becoming the next boy to disappear from his neighborhood. Then the Grabber (Ethan Hawke) takes him and locks him in a soundproof basement, where the disconnected phone on the wall starts to ring. Scott Derrickson gives the dead a voice on the line, and each of them wants Finney to know what they could not do.
