The Black Scorpion

“Every horror you've seen on the screen grows pale beside the horror of...”

After a volcano erupts in rural Mexico, the countryside goes quiet in the wrong places: ranches are torn apart, people are missing, and nobody can say what did it. Geologist Hank Scott (Richard Denning) and rancher Teresa Alvarez (Mara Corday) trace the damage back to giant scorpions that came up out of the earth with the lava. Edward Ludwig shoots it in black and white, with Willis O'Brien's stop-motion scorpions jerking across the frame.
