The Bloody Judge

“Horror will hold you helpless!”

Lord George Jeffreys (Christopher Lee) is the Lord Chancellor of England in 1685, a man who sentences rebels and so-called witches to satisfy his own political appetites. Jesús Franco builds the film around his courtroom, where Mary Gray (Maria Rohm) and others come before him. Each verdict is handed down as a matter of law, and the man delivering it never sees what his certainty costs.
