The Blue Bird

“1001 Wonders in Technicolor”

In a peasant cottage, the disagreeable Mytyl (Shirley Temple) and her brother Tyltyl are visited by the fairy Berylune, who sends them out to find the Blue Bird of Happiness. Walter Lang, working in Technicolor, sets them walking beside a Dog, a Cat, Light, Fire and Bread, each given a body and a voice. Tylo (Eddie Collins) the Dog trots at Mytyl's side, Tylette (Gale Sondergaard) the Cat watching from a step behind.
