The Blue Max

“There was no quiet on the Western Front!”

Lt. Bruno Stachel (George Peppard) joins a German fighter squadron in 1918, a lower-class pilot among officers who despise him, and he wants one thing, the Blue Max medal that goes to any flier with twenty kills. John Guillermin follows his count as it climbs, with General Count von Klugermann (James Mason) watching from above. Every kill raises the stakes, and Stachel is willing to put his place in the squadron and his own life on the line for the medal.
