The Blue Note

(1991)Directed by Andrzej Żuławski132 minMusic, Drama, Romance

In the summer of 1847, the writer Aurore Dudevant (Marie-France Pisier) keeps a country house where Frédéric Chopin (Janusz Olejniczak) composes among her guests, among them the painter Eugène Delacroix (Féodor Atkine). Andrzej Żuławski follows the household through Chopin's last years of work, as Solange (Sophie Marceau) and her husband Auguste Clésinger (Aurélien Recoing) make their own claims. Chopin sits at the piano in the house, still playing.
