The Body of My Enemy

François Leclercq (Jean-Paul Belmondo) is accused of a murder and goes underground, hunting for people he can trust in a town where nobody offers it freely. As he digs, a trail of corruption leads him toward the powerful family of his former love, including Jean-Baptiste Liégeard (Bernard Blier). Henri Verneuil sets François against a whole town that has reasons to keep its secrets buried, and every name he pulls on puts his own freedom at greater risk.
