The Bohemian
Venice, 1764, a city already crowded with famous composers, and Josef Mysliveček (Vojtěch Dyk) has spent a year there scraping by as a violinist, shut out of the opera houses he wants. A libertine marchioness (Elena Radonicich) takes him as her lover and teaches him the manners and appetites of her world. Petr Václav follows him to a commission from the San Carlo, Europe's largest theatre, where his name will finally be on the line.
