The Book of Clarence

“How far would you go to prove you're not a nobody?”

Clarence (LaKeith Stanfield) is broke, owes money to the wrong people, and wants a better life for his family than the one he has. Jeymes Samuel sets him loose among the apostles and the crowds gathering around the rising Messiah, where Clarence, who has always had to scrape, decides he might try the miracle business himself. Underneath the hustle and the jokes sits a plain question about whether faith can lift a man out of debt.
