The Book of Masters

Katya (Mariya Andreeva), a kind girl and the daughter of Baba Yaga (Liya Akhedzhakova), picks up a magic stone called Alatyr while walking in a field. Her heart turns to stone, and she becomes the Countess of Stones, ruling from a tower where captive gem-cutters are forced to wake the gem. Vadim Sokolovsky stages the story as a fairy tale, with a mother whose daughter is no longer the girl she raised.
