Gangsters keep turning up dead across Boston, and nobody can say who is behind it. The killers are twin brothers, Conner (Sean Patrick Flanery) and Murphy MacManus (Norman Reedus), working-class Irish Catholics who believe their faith has told them to clean up the city themselves. Troy Duffy sends FBI agent Paul Smecker (Willem Dafoe) after them, and the brothers have a growing crowd behind them and a closing net in front.
