The Boston Strangler

(1968)Directed by Richard Fleischer116 min · RDrama, Crime, Thriller
“Why did 13 women willingly open their doors to the Boston Strangler?”

Boston in the 1960s is afraid of its own apartment buildings, as women living alone are found strangled with no sign of forced entry and no pattern the police can name. John S. Bottomly (Henry Fonda) and Phil DiNatale (George Kennedy) chase one thin lead after another, and Richard Fleischer splits the screen into panels. Tony Curtis plays Albert DeSalvo, but the film keeps him out of sight until the investigators have run out of clues.
