“There was never just one.”

When the fallout from Jason Bourne's exposure of Treadstone reaches Washington, Byer (Edward Norton) starts shutting down every related operation, and the agents attached to them. Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner), a black ops operative in a successor program, is suddenly a loose end, and Dr. Marta Shearing (Rachel Weisz) is one of the few people who can help him. Tony Gilroy puts a man in the middle of it who has to run, and who has no one left to trust.
