Brett Sprague (David Wenham) comes home on parole to his mother Sandra (Lynette Curran) and his brothers Glenn and Stevie. The day starts as a family reunion, then the drinking and the drugs begin, and the night turns into one none of them will be able to live down. Rowan Woods adapts Gordon Graham's play, which drew on the 1986 murder of Anita Cobby, and what it shows is how violence can grow out of a family that never talks about it.
