New York, 1968: Michael (Jim Parsons) is throwing a birthday party for Harold (Zachary Quinto), and the friends who arrive, among them Donald (Matt Bomer), Larry (Andrew Rannells) and Bernard (Michael Benjamin Washington), have come to drink and tease. An unexpected guest and a drunken game start pulling truths out of all seven men. Joe Mantello brings the room into close focus, and Parsons stands among the glasses and bottles with his face gone tight.
