The Boys in the Boat

“Believe in the impossible. Believe in each other.”

In Depression-era Seattle, the University of Washington rowing team is built from boys who need the scholarship and the meals as much as the sport. Coach Al Ulbrickson (Joel Edgerton) pushes a crew toward the 1936 Berlin Olympics, with Joe Rantz (Callum Turner) in the boat, and George Clooney directs. Joe has to learn to trust the eight men beside him, and they have to learn to trust him.
