Thomas (Max Boublil) has just gotten engaged to Lola (Mélanie Bernier) when he meets her father, Gilbert (Alain Chabat), thirty years into his marriage to Suzanne (Sandrine Kiberlain) and sure he missed his whole life. Gilbert talks Thomas out of the wedding, and the two start living like teenagers again. Anthony Marciano keeps the focus on the odd friendship between them, an older man and a younger one, each sure the other has the answer.
