“Catch the burglars!”

In Athens, a team of four burglars lifts a collection of emeralds without a hitch. Then they miss the ship meant to carry them out, and Azad (Jean-Paul Belmondo), the safe-cracker who leads them, has to wait for the next one while a police chief closes in. Henri Verneuil leaves Azad in the grainy streets of the city, the emeralds still on him.
