The Burning Moon
“When the moon is full, the blood tide rises.”
In 1992, in a small German town, a teenage boy shoots up with heroin and sits down on the edge of his kid sister's bed to read to her. Olaf Ittenbach, working on a shoestring, fills the two bedtime stories with a blind date who turns out to be a serial killer and a priest who is murderous and psychotic. Cliff Parker (Bernd Muggenthaler) turns the pages, and Julia Sanders (Beate Neumeyer) lies there listening, trusting the only person who reads to her.
