The Burnt Orange Heresy

“You can't paint over the truth.”

No one has seen the painter Jerome Debney (Donald Sutherland) in decades, and the collector Joseph Cassidy (Mick Jagger) wants a canvas by him badly enough to hire a thief. The job goes to James Figueras (Claes Bang), an ambitious art dealer who has been talking his way up in the trade. Giuseppe Capotondi films the money and the polished surfaces with a cool, sleek eye, letting the dread build underneath.
