The Cable Guy

“There's no such thing as free cable.”

Steven (Matthew Broderick) has just split from his girlfriend and wants nothing more than a quiet apartment and a working TV. The cable installer who shows up, Chip (Jim Carrey), hooks up the service and then keeps coming back, eager to be his best friend. Ben Stiller follows the favors and phone calls as they pile up, and Chip sits in the dark in front of a wall of screens, still talking.
